Signing off.....

....for now anyway. We're moving in two days, so it's time to pack up the old computer and start loading. I'll try to post some pics of our new house once we're in there and I get my computer up and running again.

Our new house...."almost"!

This is the house in Haviland that we're in the process of buying. It's 97 years old, and my grandma, who still lives in Haviland, lived in this house as a child. So there's some family history there. We're so excited!

Catalina Island

We were blessed with the chance to go to Catalina Island for the day last week thanks to our wonderful friends, Bryan and Cori. It's something we'd wanted to do while we were here, but just never had the chance...until now. :) We had a wonderful time and wished we could've stayed longer. Thanks again, Bryan and Cori!!

14th Anniversary!!!

Kevin and I just celebrated our 14th year of a wonderful marriage! It was actually on June 3rd, but I'm just now getting around to blogging about it. Anyway, we were able to go to dinner at the Summit House (one of those fancy shmancy restaurants) thanks to our awesome Care Group who all pitched into give us a gift card for it. They actually gave it to Kevin as a graduation gift, but we waited to use it for our anniversary. Anyway, the food was AMAZING!!!! And we even got complimentary dessert since it was our anniversary. :) We had a great time and look forward to many, many more happy years together.

Nathan's 10th Birthday

What a great day we had! We decided to surprise the kids by taking them to Disneyland for Nathan's birthday thanks to some wonderful friends who got us in for free. :) The day started with some early morning presents and then a birthday breakfast at Denny's. After that we headed to Disneyland.

One of our main goals/hopes for the day was for Nathan to get picked for the Jedi training show that they do. And....he did!!! He was so excited. Hannah had been picked out of the crowd when we went a couple years ago. So we really wanted Nathan to have the chance, especially since it was his birthday. Hannah also got picked again, so it was fun to watch both of them out there. They both got to fight Darth Maul.

But Nathan's favorite part of the day was getting to see the robot Asimo. We had heard that there was a robot show in the Innoventions building but had no idea it was Asimo. Nathan is a HUGE fan, so getting to see that was extra special!

On top of all the fun stuff, we were able to spend the day with some friends who came to join us there. Of course, I thought it was a great day, but the best part for me was hearing Nathan say, "This is the best birthday ever!!!" That just topped everything. :)

Where to start?!

June isn't even half way over yet, and it's already been crazy busy...good busy, though. :) I've got lots of pics to share and will hopefully be getting those up in the next couple days. So stay tuned.....
