Update

Yes...we're still here. When I look over the past few weeks, I realize that I really haven't been that busy, well I have...but I haven't. You know what I mean? One thing that's taken up more time is that I've gotten back into reading. I've always enjoyed reading, but I never "find" the time. Well I obviously found it again, because I've been reading a lot over the past month. One of my favorite authors is Francine Rivers. She's a Christian author and is absolutely amazing! If you haven't yet, you need to try out any and all of her books. My absolute favorite novel of hers is Redeeming Love. It's based off of Hosea in the Bible...so good!!! I've also been working more on my transcription, which has taken up more time, but I'm so grateful. Thanks, Valarrie!! :)

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I haven't completely forgotten about my blog. I've just been taking a small break. :) I hope to stay caught up a little better from here on out.

A good day

Today was just a really good day. Kevin was home since it's the weekend, and we were able to spend the whole day together as a family. Our daughter even said she thought it was neat that we were able to eat all three meals together, which very rarely happens. We were able to play outside a lot because it was a beautiful 80 degree day. And then our friend/neighbor brought her Wii over and ended up letting us borrow it for the rest of the day. It's probably good that we don't own one, because I can guarantee you that we'd all be addicted. :) It was fun, though, to be able to play with it for a day.

Christmas 2008

Christmas 2008 highlights

We really had a fun Christmas this year. My parents were able to come out for Christmas again this year and stay for a little over a week. It was definitely cozy since we live in a two bedroom apartment, but fun because we all get along so well. And of course the kids were on cloud nine having their grandparents here. The time went so fast, though, and before we knew it, it was already time for them to go home. Anyway, here is a slide show of our Christmas time together. Something's wrong with this picture...

...and it's the fact that I actually took a picture of my tupperware. Okay, so I know it's technically not tupperware because tupperware is a specific brand name, and this says Rubbermaid on it. My mom and I actually had a "conversation" about this, and I simply told her that in my mind, if it stores/holds food, then it's tupperware. End of conversation. Anyway, let me explain why I actually took a picture of my "tupperware". I've been "tupperware" challenged for quite some time now. The pieces that I had just kept dwindling away. And for the past year, I've been talking about how badly I wanted some new "tupperware". So for Christmas, Kevin surprised me with a really nice set. I was so excited that I just had to take a picture and blog about it. :) And yes, when I was stacking them all up(because they stack together so nicely), I was smiling the entire time. I LOVE my "tupperware".

We actually got this huge bag of pistachios for my dad while my parents were here for Christmas but unfortunately/fortunately, he forgot to take it home with him. So we've had to do our part by eating them for him. Anyway.....here's how the conversation went last night.

Nathan: Mom, can I have some pistachios?
Hannah: Can I have some too?
Jessa: Oh yeah, mom, I want some snachios too!
Me: Hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Way too long

My goodness, it's been two weeks since I blogged last! I think that's a record for me. Since it was Christmas, I obviously have lots of pictures to share, so I'll try to get this up to date in the next couple days.
